How can I hit my steps target?
There are plenty of ways you can hit your daily target - rack up the numbers by walking all or part of your commute, taking the stairs at work, going for a family walk on the weekend, or even taking the dog on a few extra walks this month.
What if I miss a day or more?
This is your challenge, set a schedule that works for you. The goal is to raise awareness by taking on the effort to hit your goal.
How can I track my steps?
Use a pedometer or tracker that will count your steps for you. Most phones have lots of free apps to track your steps each day. If you know the distance of your everyday walk, you can use conversion tools on the internet to help turn your miles into steps.
How do we report our progress or log our steps?
This year we'll ask you to report your total steps at the end of the month. On your page you'll see a list of activities. On August 1st, please open the "Report your steps" activity and enter them there. You'll be asked to write a post which may seem strange, but that's the best place for us to collect your information. Feel free to write more in you post, like how much you raised! It will increase awareness!
Where is the event being held?
Steps to Cure Sarcoma is a virtual event. That means the event is right where you are, indoors, outdoors, or anywhere you want. All you need is your walking shoes and the passion to take your steps and fundraise.
How do I get to the top of the leaderboard?
Complete the activities on your page like uploading photos and inviting friends. You'll earn points for all those activities. Fundraising earns big points! Note: Points are for bragging rights!
